Looking Back:
The experiment that we did on CO2 turned out really good. I t did fail a few times, but Lydia and Andrew were able to put out he flame. For the experiment we lit a candle. Then after we got a beaker and put in baking soda and vinegar inside. Once it started bubbling we put the mixture on top of the flame. After that the flame would get put out, and the mixture wouldn't even touch the flame.
Looking Beyond:
The experiment that we did was so cool, we were able to put out the candle without anything touching it. The way that works is because when you mix vinegar and baking soda together it creates carbon dioxide. The CO2 is heavier than air, so it sinks or is at the bottom of the container. So when you pour it out, the carbon dioxide will replace the air around the candle, and it flame dies. It was so cool to see that happen.
Looking Inward:
I think that we didn't get desirable results. There were a few times when the flame got put out, but most of the time it didn't work. I think the reason why the flame wasn't going out was because we were pouring the carbon dioxide to late. I think I contributed to the group, because I was able to record the process.
Looking Outward:
In this group I worked with Autrina, Evan, and Lydia. I think we all contributed t the group, because we communicated, and were able to complete the project.I think our group did a good job, even though most times it wouldn't work, but we were able to get the flame out at least once. I was able to contribute effort. I think everyone in the group communicate, and collaborated really well. I also was able to record the process of the flame going out.
